UBM Aviation Hosts MRO Leaders in Mumbai for 2 Days of Topical Debate.

Tuesday 24 February 2009

Jet Airways to Chair the 2009 Airline Engineering & Maintenance Conference for the Indian Subcontinent, April 7 & 8

Despite the current economic squeeze on the aviation community, international airline capacity to and from India continues to rise: up by 7% for February 2009 compared with the same month last year. Is the region seeing the same trend in the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) sector? The annual Airline Engineering & Maintenance Conference for the Indian Subcontinent, produced by Aviation Industry Conferences (www.aviationindustryconferences.com), part of UBM Aviation (www.ubmaviation.com), will provide a focused forum for delegates with business interests in the region to learn from industry experts with specialist knowledge of the Indian market.

Mr. B.P. Baliga, Vice President Support Services at Jet Airways (India) Ltd., will chair the two-day conference which takes place on April 7 and 8 at the Leela Kempinski Hotel at Mumbai Airport. The program will address developments in the Indian MRO industry with an in-depth look at issues and trends facing airlines and suppliers in the region.

Confirmed speakers include Pulak Sen, Editor-in-Chief, Indian Aviation, plus senior representatives from AirWorks India; U.S. FAA; Engine Alliance; Airbus; SpiceJet; MTU and OAG Aviation.

All airlines of the Indian Subcontinent region that do not offer third party maintenance services are eligible for complimentary places at the Airline Engineering & Maintenance Conference.
