Mike Malik

Mike Malik is Chief Commercial Officer of UBM Aviation. He was appointed to the post in August 2010.

Mike has extensive experience in the travel and transport industry. Prior to UBM Aviation, he was President of Aloha Air Cargo, a position he took over after serving as Chief Information Officer at Aloha Airlines. Prior to Aloha, he was as a founding member and the Chief Marketing Officer of MAXjet Airways, a start-up airline that provided business class international services.

Mike’s career also included several years in the Airline information technology and travel distribution sectors, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Shepherd Systems, a subsidiary of Travelport. He also held various senior positions at Sabre, including Vice President of its operation in Hong Kong.

Mike was educated in London, England, and holds a Master of Science in Air Transport Engineering from Cranfield University in the UK, and a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering and Design from Loughborough University, also in the UK.
Mike and his family reside in Chicago.
